Over the weekend I received an email from a dear friend and amazing writer. I remember the first time I heard her read. I was dumbfounded. I couldn't believe that she didn't have a dozen books published. She always been so open about her long struggle with getting published. I couldn't understand why an editor would pass her work up. But she's always remained persistent and diligent.

Well, this weekend she finally got some good news. There is an editor very interested in one of her manuscripts. And I don't want to jinx it by giving our her name.
But it's a moment in which all who know her can celebrate with her. My fingers and toes are crossed.

Motivation comes today by celebrating the future success of my dear friend.

  1. My fingers are crossed too. I was inspired and encouraged by our friend's news. (I think it's the same friend, although if you know two people with good news, then more power to you!)
