Celebrating the Small Things
Juliet's Small Achievements This Week:
1. Week Three of Diet (ugh...)
2. Full Revisions to a YA (and off to the agent)
3. One yoga class and a stationary bike ride
Regina's Small Achievements This Week:
1. Finished a first draft of a poem
2. Started reading two manuscripts(for friends)
3. Enjoyed a girl's night out
I love your quote! Much more inspiring than the one I chose (which makes fun of people and is essentially mean...ugh.)
ReplyDeleteI love your quote, Juliet! It makes me laugh :)
DeleteGreat achievements! And I like your quotes very much, mostly the second one.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Al!
DeleteThanks for stopping by, Al!
DeleteLost it! Seems one of my celebrations for small things is not going bonkers every week, when the garbage truck sets off the car alarm! This week a neighbor chimed in and started blowing his horn until I could race out there and turn it off...don't think he's too happy when my car goes off every week...
ReplyDeleteTiming is everything...both these quotes were read before the weekly noise tradition, and both make perfect sense - even made me smile when the neighbor chimed in...thanks, ladies :)
You are so kind! And I love the image you conjured of your innocent attempts to stave off neighbor-rage. I'm totally doing that now as I curse the neighbors with garages who take up spaces on our street. Thanks for checking us out!
DeleteBeautiful poetic moment from Mary Oliver. Thanks for sharing it here. I'm enjoying this Small Things Hop!
ReplyDeleteYes, I've learned so much just by visiting everyone's blogs. There are really some wonderful, thoughtful writers out there.
DeleteWhat a great list of items to celebrate - edits off to agent (WOOOO) and girl's night out (YAY). Lovely. thanks for joining in!
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking us out Vik! And thanks for the push to think about the small things we should all celebrate!
DeleteGreat accomplishments, guys! Although I would prefer the girl's night out to all the exercise (makes me tired just thinking about it). :)

Too true - too true... I left out the part where my bike ride was ten minutes though. Does that help?
DeleteThose are great accomplishments! Congrats. I'm happy to be celebrating these on a weekly basis. So encouraging.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading, Nancy! They are a little kick in the pants aren't they? :)
ReplyDeleteYou two don't waste words, do you? My favorite kind of writers! Congrats on all the accomplishments and have a great weekend!:-)
ReplyDeleteHi Lexa, maybe that's another small accomplishment!
DeleteThanks for visiting my blog recently. Congrats on your achievements this week. Unfortunately, due to illness, I didn't get to post a 'new post' for Friday but hopefully will be back on track next week.
